The last known lynching in the US was that of Micheal Donald in 1981 in Alabma.
He was only 19 years old when u was murderd. Before watching Lyncings on the
discovery channel I like so many others did not know his story.After watching i
felt very angery. To think that after almost 20 years since the civil rights
movement that the Klan was still lyniching black peaople. Who would have belived
that in the 80s there was still antipathy towards black people. The semi good
thing that came from this is that after the trail the United Klans of America
went bankrupted after paying a massively large settlement to Donalds mother. I
was also happy to learn that the people responeable for his death was not able
to abscond and got what they desreved! The KKK is culpable for the lynching of
5000 people. Its time for the Klan to be abolished.
